I am a Ukrainian.
Over the past four years, the word WOMAN has come to mean something deeper to me — courage, resilience, love, and unwavering support.
First and foremost, I think of the women in my family: my mother, my aunt, my grandmothers… Lately, I often find myself thinking about my great-grandmothers, whose lives were marked by war, revolution, Holodomor, and Stalinist repression. Back then, no one spoke of depression, burnout, or well-being — and yet, they endured. They survived. They passed on not only life, but strength and dignity.
I’ve also been incredibly lucky to have true friends — women I’ve known since school. Even though we now live in different countries, their love and support are always with me.
Since moving to Bucharest, I’ve met extraordinary Romanian women whose support and influence on my life are hard to put into words. They are sincere, intelligent, educated, beautiful, and creative — women who inspire me every single day. I am deeply grateful to them.
The women in my life are a source of light, strength, and hope. They are the ones who hold up the sky when the ground begins to shake.
Важливі жінки в моєму житті
Я — українка.
Останні чотири роки слово ЖІНКА для мене набуло нового змісту. Воно звучить як сміливість, сила духу, любов і підтримка.
Найперше — це жінки мого роду: мама, тітка, бабусі… Останнім часом я часто думаю про своїх прабабусь. Їхнє життя пройшло крізь війни, революції, Голодомор і сталінські репресії. У ті часи ніхто не говорив про депресію, вигорання чи велбінг. Але вони вистояли. Вони вижили. І передали нам не лише життя, а й гідність.
Мені пощастило мати справжніх подруг. Ми разом ще зі школи, і хоча зараз живемо в різних країнах, їхня любов і підтримка — завжди зі мною.
Переїхавши до Бухареста, я зустріла неймовірних румунок. Їхній вплив на моє життя важко описати словами. Це щирі, розумні, освічені, красиві й творчі жінки, які щодня надихають мене бути кращою версією себе. Я вдячна їм за тепло, за силу, за приклад.
Жінки в моєму житті — це джерело світла, сили й надії. Це ті, хто тримають небо, коли земля тікає з-під ніг.
Femeile importante din viața mea
Sunt o femeie ucraineancă.
În ultimii patru ani, cuvântul FEMEIE a căpătat pentru mine un sens mai profund — curaj, reziliență, iubire și sprijin necondiționat.
În primul rând, mă gândesc la femeile din familia mea: mama, mătușa, bunicile mele… În ultima vreme, mă gândesc adesea la străbunicile mele, ale căror vieți au fost marcate de războaie, revoluții, foamete și represiuni staliniste. Pe atunci, nimeni nu vorbea despre depresie, epuizare sau bunăstare emoțională — și totuși, ele au rezistat. Au supraviețuit. Ne-au transmis nu doar viața, ci și demnitatea și puterea de a merge mai departe.
Am avut și norocul de a avea prietene adevărate — femei pe care le cunosc încă din școală. Deși acum trăim în țări diferite, dragostea și sprijinul lor sunt mereu cu mine.
De când m-am mutat la București, am cunoscut femei românce extraordinare, al căror sprijin și influență asupra vieții mele sunt greu de exprimat în cuvinte. Sunt femei sincere, inteligente, educate, frumoase și creative — femei care mă inspiră în fiecare zi. Le sunt profund recunoscătoare.
Femeile din viața mea sunt surse de lumină, de putere și de speranță. Sunt cele care țin cerul atunci când pământul îți fuge de sub picioare.
